The Social Anxiety hard enamel pin was created to help spread awareness. It is an intense anxiety or fear of being negatively judged or rejected in social situations. Suffers often avoid such situations as they experience significant anxiety and distress, sometimes even having strong physical symptoms, like panic attacks. Even knowing their reaction is excessive, they feel powerless against their anxiety.

Sometimes artists give visual forms to issues, ideas and conflicts they deal with. I see my mental illness artistically as a night stag, wandering the forest of my consciousness. A dark figure, part of who I am, but lordly and a prince of my domain dictating rule and law, often in opposition to what I want and need. Still, I have to find a way to live with it, endure it, so it will return to its forest wanderings, leaving me a survivor in the woods of my own soul.
